Papaya Technologies has launched an online platform for commercial fleets to source electric vehicles (EVs) from cargo bikes to electric vans, alongside service providers.

It complements its existing vehicle management platform, creating an environment that it says aims to accelerate the adoption of EVs.

The platform serves as a centralised hub, connecting fleets and service providers, which Papaya says will enable operators to collaborate with multiple suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.

Santi Ureta, Papaya co-founder and CEO, said: “I experienced first-hand the challenges of electrifying and managing a fleet and it was a really painful experience. That’s why I wanted to build a simple platform to help others throughout the whole process.

“With the marketplace, Papaya is becoming a real ecosystem. Fleet managers and service providers can easily plug in and interact with each other.

“They source and manage fleets from a single platform and they can achieve all their operational and decarbonisation objectives faster.”

Papaya is live in multiple countries including the UK, Spain, France and Germany, and plans to continue expanding across every major European country.

VOK, Askoll, EAV and Fettle are currently available through the Papaya marketplace, but Papaya says that more companies have confirmed their intention to join the platform over the coming months.
