CMS Window Systems has completed a sale and rentback deal with TOM Vehicle Rental which has seen its fleet of vehicles purchased and replaced with more modern, fuel efficient vehicles.

CMS said the decision reduces downtime and repair costs as well as freeing up capital for reinvestment in its core activities as the business grows, having recently invested in new state of the art machinery at their main Castlecary factory to increase their operational capacity.

The mixed fleet of 37 vehicles provided by Tom consists of cars, small vans, 3.5-tonnet Luton vans, 7.5-tonne box vans and 7.5-tonne dropsides on a mix of flexible rental and contract hire terms.

John Taylor, operations director for CMS Window Systems, said: "We’re pleased to be partnering with TOM for our commercial fleet. By having all services we need available in-house, Tom has provided us with a complete solution tailored to suit our particular needs”

The CMS brand is a market-leader in the social housing and new build markets and is growing its presence in the trade and domestic windows and doors market.

James Rafferty, sales and marketing director for Tom Vehicle Rental, added: "We see a trend moving away from fleet ownership to usership. We look forward to supporting the fleet requirements for CMS’s continued growth and success”
