Jaama has anticipated a boost in business due to sector needs for a ‘validated IT supplier’ in conjunction with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) Earned Recognition Scheme.

Commercial vehicle, coach and bus operators using Jaama’s Key2 technology can send walk-around vehicle inspection checks, servicing and MoT information directly to the DVSA database every four weeks.

In return, as part of Earned Regcognition their vehicles are less likely to be stopped for roadside inspections, saving them time and money, says Jaama.

Jaama’s managing director Martin Evans said: “To benefit from Earned Recognition, operators must be using an IT system such as Key2 to ensure that they are meeting a set of defined key performance indicators.

“The information recorded in Key2 by transport managers will demonstrate to the DVSA that their fleets are practising robust and timely compliance methods.

“Additionally, transport operators joining the scheme will be able to prove they are a compliant operator, which can help when they bid for contracts, and raise their profile with potential customers.

“Key2 is trusted, which is why we believe more commercial vehicle, bus and coach managers will opt to join the organisations that are already using Key2 which is collectively operating more than 1.2 million vehicles, including companies that run their own workshops.

“Many of our Key2 users are at the cutting-edge of enforcing best practice which also helps to drive efficiencies across their fleet operations.”
