Restore Datashred has renewed over 300 drivers CPC training ahead of the deadline by outsourcing the task to Fleet Source, as part of a newly-formed partnership.

Restore Datashred’s head of fleet Ian Walsh said: “Historically Driver CPC was just a tick in the box requirement, but everybody now realises that this isn’t adequate going forward.

“To us, it is key that our fleet get training specific to what they need, so that they get meaningful training and take something away from it.”

Since the beginning of the year, Fleet Source has trained Restore Datashred’s drivers on 3 different additional courses: TRIP, Staying Legal and Safe, alongside Green and Efficient CPC modules.

Additionally, Restore Datashred have a further 67 courses booked across 14 locations, all the way through to January 2019.

Walsh said: “Operating a busy fleet the way that we do, we wanted to be able to hand over the control of the CPC deliverance to a provider that could handle everything for us, so that we could concentrate on our day to day business.

“Fleet Source have given us the opportunity to step away from organising CPC training which has allowed me to concentrate on managing day to day operations.”
