Suzuki is looking for a new national fleet sales manager after the manufacturer confirmed Lee Giddings has left the role.
Giddings was named as Suzuki’s national fleet sales manager in a new look fleet department for the manufacturer in 2021.
He had joined Suzuki in 2017 as contract hire, leasing and motability manager.
Prior to joining Suzuki, Giddings spent 13 years at Toyota and Lexus GB, working in various roles within its fleet structure and most recently as area fleet sales manager.
Suzuki told Fleet News that the new national fleet sales manager will be announced in due course.
True fleet registrations for the manufacturer have declined year-on-year, with registrations in quarter two (Q2) falling by 14.9% year-on-year – from 1,512 units in Q2 2024 to 1,288 units in Q2 this year.
That followed a 24.3% reduction in Q1, with 2,480 units registered in Q1 2025 versus 3,277 in the same quarter last year.
Overall registrations, including private sales, were down 39.5% in Q2 compared to the same quarter last year, with 3,574 cars registered versus 5,912 in Q2 2024.
However, with new eVitara, its first mass-produced electric vehicle (EV), Suzuki is expected to elevate its fleet market share.
The fully electric car, which has a range of up to 265 miles, is expected to officially launch in late summer, when ordering will open.
There is be a choice of 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs. The smaller battery has a 214-mile range, while the larger unit is also available with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.
The car was co-developed by Suzuki, Toyota and Daihatsu.
