Mini has appointed Steve Roberts into the newly-created role of head of corporate and used cars.

Roberts, formerly product operations manager at BMW, is tasked with growing the brand further in the fleet sector, on the back of recent fleet-friendly launches including the Clubman and five-door hatch.

Roberts said: "I am thrilled to be joining the corporate sales team at what is a very fast-paced and exciting time for Mini.

"Since the launch of the five-door hatch in September 2014, we have seen Mini's influence in the corporate sector increase exponentially."

Roberts is to report to national sales manager Rob Turnbull, as James Morrison leaves his role as corporate development manager.
