Peugeot has revealed the latest generation of the 308 – its boldest and most high-tech model yet. With a raft of changes including sharpened styling, more efficient powertrains and touchscreen connectivity.

Available for delivery from September onwards, the new-generation 308, available in hatch, SW and GTi features an assertive new vertical grille and LED daytime running lights.

Inside, the integration of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit interior layout means owners can enjoy a capacitive touchscreen, offering connected 3D satnav and new graphics.

The i-Cockpit includes Mirror Screen, a triple-play system which duplicates the user’s smartphone on the vehicle’s touchscreen, compatible with MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

Under the skin is Peugeots all-new 1.5-litre BlueHDi 130 engine which promises greater efficiency thanks to new emission reducing technology. An eight-speed automatic transmission can now be coupled with the more powerful BlueHDi 180 engine.

Extended driver assistance runs to eight systems, including Active Safety Brake, Active Lane Departure Warning and adaptive cruise control, which includes a stop function for driving in traffic (with automatic transmission).
