Citroen has revealed the new Berlingo Multispace ahead of its official debut at the Geneva motor show.

The van-derived people carrier boasts a flat loading floor, 19 driver assistance features and a new range of engines.

It will be available in two sizes, M and XL, measuring 4.40m and 4.75m in length respectively, with five and seven seats.

Citroen says the new Berlingo Multispace is a smart buy for families or seniors with active lifestyles who are looking for exceptional space, practicality and simplicity of use.

Boot volume is increased by 100-litres to 775-litres for the M version and it is easily accessible thanks to the opening rear window in the tailgate and two different height positions for the luggage cover.

Based on the PSA groups new EMP2 platform, the Berlingo Multispace is expected to provide a greater driving esperience and improved manoeuvrability.

New feature include a Colour Head-up Display, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop function, Electric Parking Brake, Reversing Camera with Top Rear Vision, Grip Control with Hill Descent Assist and Trailer Stability Control.

The engine range incldes a PureTech 110 6-speed manual and PureTech 130 EAT8 auto, plus a BlueHDi with 75, 100 or 130 PS. The most powerful diesel is available with the EAT8 automatic transmission.

New Berlingo Multispace will make its international debut in a few weeks at the Geneva Motor Show, followed by its launch in the second half of 2018.

Great looks and great idea to have a 7 seater version once again. Its hard to find a 7 seater version of the current Multispace as they where an optional extra but they do command a big premium.
