Seat will officially unveil its seven-seat Tarraco SUV in Barcelona on September 18.

The new model completes Seat’s SUV family, joining the Ateca and Arona.

Seat used a public vote to choose the new car’s name, with more than 146,000 pepole taking part.

It is based on the same platform as the Skoda Kodiaq and is expected to offer a similar powertrain line-up.

The seven-seat Tarraco completes the carmaker’s biggest ever product offensive, which kicked off in 2016 with the launch of the Ateca. It was followed in 2017 with the Leon facelift, the fifth generation Ibiza and the new Arona crossover.

The Tarraco will make its UK debut early next year.
