Toyota has revised the model range for the Aygo, adding a new x-trend version that is priced from £12,710.

It is anticipated to be the most popular version in the range, featuring 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, rear privacy glass and coloured styling accents.

The car also features Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Customers can also opt to have an electric, full-length retractable sunroof and the added protection of Toyota Safety Sense, with Pre-collision System with autonomous emergency braking and Lane Departure Alert.

The Aygo uses a 72PS three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine, with a choice of five-speed manual or x-shift automated manual transmission. Combined cycle fuel consumption ranges from 53 to 57mpg, with 93g/km CO2 emissions.

Standard equipment for the 2019 Toyota Aygo range includes LED rear lights and daytime running lights, power front windows and an audio system with USB/Aux-in).

The x-play (five-door only) is fitted with 15-inch wheels, air conditioning, Bluetooth, DAB, x-touch multimedia system, reversing camera and optional navigation and Toyota Safety Sense.

The new x-trend is positioned between x-play and the x-cite model.

The x-cite specification includes 15-inch black alloys, Magenta Fizz bi-tone paint finish with toning interior details, smartphone integration, front fog lights, automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights and rear privacy glass, with Toyota Safety Sense optional.

The range-topping Aygo x-clusiv has part-leather upholstery, smart entry, bi-tone paint finish and Toyota Safety Sense as standard.
