New Skoda Superb: prices, specs and CO2 emissions

2020 Skoda Superb

Skoda has confirmed the new Superb will be priced from £24,655, with first deliveries in the Autumn.

The facelifted model has been updated to feature LED headlights and predictive cruise control.

CO2 emissions start at 110g/km for the 1.6 TDI, although a plug-in hybrid with emissions of 40g/km will be available early next year.

Revised bumpers add 8mm to the overall length of the car, but the wheelbase remains unchanged.

Interior space is generous with a boot capacity of 625 litres in the hatch or 660 litres Estate.

The Superb is available with two petrol and two diesel options from launch; power outputs range from 120PS for the 1.6 TDI to 272PS for the range-topping 2.0 TSI. Seven-speed DSG gearboxes and four-wheel-drive are available on selected models.

Six trim grades are offered: S, SE, SE Technology, SE L, SportLine Plus and Laurin & Klement.

All models are fitted with LED front and rear lights as standard, along with seven airbags, a touchscreen infotainment system with DAB, voice control and SmartLink+ for smartphone connectivity.

SE models start from £26,165 and feature 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors and electrically folding door mirrors. There is also Adaptive Cruise Control and Driver fatigue sensor as standard.

Business customers opting for the SE Technology model benefit from leather upholstery and heated front seats, high beam control, Blind Spot Detection and Amundsen infotainment system with touchscreen display and integrated Wi-Fi. SE Technology models are also equipped with Drive Mode selection.

SE L models start from £30,575 and include 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and full matrix LED headlights. Inside, SE L models feature an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory and lumbar support and an electrically operated tailgate.

The SportLine Plus model is based on the SE model and features 19-inch alloy wheels, exterior gloss black sports detailing, alcantara sports seats and a Columbus navigation with 9.2-inch  touchscreen display and integrated Wi-Fi.

Topping the Superb range is the Laurin & Klement model. Priced from £35,240, the flagship model expands on the SE L with front ventilated seats, heated front and rear seats and LED interior light pack. Tri-zone climate control, heated windscreen and heated steering wheel, plus Virtual cockpit, 9.2-inch touchscreen and Canton sound system further enhances the luxury feel.

Later in the year the range will expand with the addition of a 1.5 TSI 150 PS and a 2.0 TDI 150 PS engine.

The PHEV, powered by a 1.4 TSI petrol engine and electric motor, will have a combined maximum power output of 218PS. Skoda says it will have CO2 emissions below 40g/km and a 34-mile electric range.
