Honda UK has launched an interactive whole lifecycle costs (WLC) calculator, which is available on its refreshed fleet website.

The tool is designed to inform Honda customers how much a vehicle will cost throughout its entire lifespan, including company car taxation.

It enables users to compare Honda models to current vehicles from other manufacturers, to highlight potential life savings.

The tool can match a Honda vehicle to a user’s budget or requirements and then suggest rival vehicles for comparison. Users can also select their own vehicles to compare.

Additonally, users can compare their curent company car to the Honda range, to see how the costs stack up.

Alongside the fuel economy, BIK tax and running costs, the tool can also compare the standard specification of a vehicle to highlight the real-world differences.

Phil Webb, head of car at Honda UK, commented: “We’re committed to giving fleet and corporate customers the information they need to make informed decisions. Lifecycle costing gives a more accurate method of effectively judging expenditure, and our interactive calculator enables fleet managers to understand the full costs associated with procurement, operational management, fleet management, risk management and remarketing.”

The cost comparator is part of Honda’s strategy to engage more effectively with fleet customers, small businesses and end users.

Honda’s new fleet and business customer website also includes an option for fleet customers to book a 48-hour test drive of their preferred model.
