Volkswagen has starting taking orders for the new Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake, with a limited engine range available from launch.

The revised model, and new estate, will initially be offered with a 150PS diesel engine and a 190PS petrol. Both are paired with a seven-speed DSG.

Prices start at £35,435 (OTR) for the entry level SE Nav trim. The shooting brake is priced from £37,640 (OTR).

At launch, the most efficient Arteon is the 150PS 2.0-litre TDI. It emits from 128g/km of CO2 and can achieve a combined 57.6mpg.

A plug-in hybrid model will join the line-up shortly, alongside a more powerful 2.0-litre TDI (200PS) and a 1.5-litre petrol engine.

SE Nav specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a Digital Cockpit, three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors and an eight-inch touchscreen with sat nav.

Elegance models are fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated seats and gain keyless entry across both body styles, a rear-view camera and Travel Assist – Volkswagen’s adaptive cruise control and lane keeping system.

The Arteon R-Line rides on 19-inch alloys and features new dual trapezoidal exhaust tips on each side of the bumper, a sunroof, rear tinted glass and interior ambient lighting.

Across the entire range, the revised Arteon and new Arteon Shooting Brake are fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), LED headlights, Wireless App Connect and We Connect Plus.
