Hyundai has appointed two new business development managers as part of a larger restructure of its fleet sales team.

Dominic Gill, national corporate sales manager at Hyundai Motor UK, is joined by Stephen Cassar and Tim Johnson as business development managers. The new recruits are responsible for securing new customer sales to fleets of 100 vehicles or more.

John Mahony, fleet operations manager,  continues to report into Dominic as key account manager, focused on customer retention for some of Hyundai Motor UK’s largest customer accounts. Liam Bennett also joins the team, working alongside Mahony on growing Hyundai’s relationships with its ever-expanding customer base but also with a specialist focus on Emergency Services and Government fleet sales.

Hyundai hopes these new appointments will further bolster its credentials in the minds of some of the largest fleets in the country.

During 2021 Hyundai had the largest year-on-year true fleet growth of any manufacturer and has already seen further volume growth during 2022. At the start of 2022 it was named Fleet News’ most improved fleet manufacturer. The Kona Electric was also named Best Zero Emission Car Under £40,000 by Fleet News, with Tucson also Highly Commended at the Fleet News Awards in the Mid-Size SUV category.

Tim White, head of fleet, continues to lead the Hyundai Business brand and strategy. In a recent interview, White told Fleet News how he "took control" of Hyundai's fleet strategy.

Andrew Tracey, sales director at Hyundai Motor UK, said: “This period for Hyundai in the UK is transformational. With Ioniq 5 – the current World Car of the Year – leading our line-up of fleet-friendly EVs, ably supported by advanced plug-in hybrids, we’re doing all that we can to ensure our fleet team continues to meet the demand and expectations from our customers. Led by Tim White  this new team provides more flexibility, ensuring we remain agile to meet customer needs.”

The Hyundai Fleet team will be at CCIA 2022, along with its current line-up of key fleet models, on June 15-16. Click here to find out more about the free-to-attend event.
