Consumer motoring brand Parkers has named the BMW i4 eDrive 40 as its new Company Car of the Year, in partnership with Fleet News.

The model was praised for its combination of efficiency, dynamics and long-range coupled with low running costs and attractive taxation for company car drivers.

It finishes ahead of the Mercedes-Benz C300e and the Polestar 2 Long Range in this year's awards.

Keith Adams, Parkers.co.uk editor, said: “The i4 is a deeply impressive car.

"It offers all the performance and poise we’ve come to expect from a petrol-powered BMW saloon but, because it’s electric, it doesn’t emit a single gram of CO2. And it can cover up to 367 miles per charge, which is bordering on combustion car levels of convenience. Brilliant tax efficiency for company car users serve as the icing on the cake.”

The i4's victory follows a double award win for the new model at the Fleet News Awards earlier this year, where it was named Best Premium Car and Best Zero Emissions Car (more than £40,000).

Parkers – the definitive resource for car buying advice in the UK – partnered Fleet News to establish a winner for the Best Company Car award in the Parkers New Car Awards 2023. The winner has been revealed as one of a total of 21 award-winning vehicles announced by Parkers.

Now in its sixth year, the Parkers New Car Awards 2023 reflect the views of Britain’s car-buying public, with winners decided by a combination of the site’s expert reviewers’ verdicts in thousands of miles of road testing and the purchasing habits of the website’s 2.3+ million users actively involved in the buying process.

More details about the Best Company Car award can be found alongside all of the winners in the Parkers New Car Awards 2023 on the Parkers website www.parkers.co.uk/car-awards/.
