Audi is updating its flagship Q8 SUV with a number of new design features and upgraded technologies.

The revised range features new front and rear bumpers, while for the first time, Audi is equipping the Q8 SUV with HD Matrix LED headlights, including a laser as an additional high beam on top-spec models.

The digital OLED rear lights incorporate a proximity indication feature that works in tandem with the assistance systems.

When vehicles from behind come within two metres of a stationary Q8, the control units trigger the activation of all the digital OLED segments.

These headlights feature digital daytime running lights and selectable light signatures.

Changes inside the cabin include the Audi virtual cockpit displaying a lane change warning, other road users distance warning, intersection assist and traffic light information.

The new Q8 line-up consists of three core specifications in the UK: S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung.

Equipment highlights across the range include Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators, Valcona leather upholstery and heated front sports seats, MMI navigation Plus, Audi virtual cockpit, adaptive air suspension, parking system plus with 360 Display and cruise control.

As part of the model update, Audi is also expanding the range of apps.

For the first time, passengers can use apps from third-party providers such as Spotify or Amazon Music.

The range is available with a 3.0-litre diesel engine (50 TDI), a 3.0-litre petrol engine (55 TFSI), and a 4.0-petrol engine with 507PS in the SQ8.

Prices start from £75,500 (OTR) with UK sales beginning on October 10.
