Audi has confirmed pricing and details of the new Q5 eHybrid, which will join the existing petrol and diesel models.

The new plug-in hybrid powertrain will be available to order in the UK starting in July 2025. First deliveries are expected in the third quarter.

Other models in the Q5 line-up are already available.

The Q5 eHybrid uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and electric motor, producing a combined 299PS.

A 25.9kWh (20.7kWh useable) battery provides a zero-emission range of up to 62 miles. It's the same powertrain that is used in the new A5.

The Q5 eHybrid comes with Quattro all-wheel-drive as standard.

Prices start at £56,740, for the Q5 eHybrid SUV. The powertrain is also offered with the Sportback bodystyle, starting at £59,240.

The car's official CO2 emissions - obtained via the new Euro 6e-BIS test - are 56 - 75g/km, depending on specification, meaning a benefit-in-kind (BiK) tax rate of 17% - 21% in the 2025-26 tax year. Plug-in hybrid models in the UK benefit from lower BiK rates, based on their zero-emission miles, if official CO2 emissions are lower than 50g/km. As part of recent changes to the ZEV mandate, the Government confirmed that car manufacturers do not have to use figures from the more stringent test in the UK.

Boot capacity for the Q5 eHybrid is 438 litres. The Sportback offers 433 litres of storage space. With the rear seats folded down, the transport volume increases to up to 1,358 litres in the SUV and 1,300 litres in the Sportback.

Full pricing and technical details will be revealed when order books open in July.
