Autoglass has been appointed as the vehicle glass repair and replacement supplier for Eddie Stobart.

The contract, which went live last month, will see Autoglass maintain the entire Eddie Stobart fleet, comprising of 2,700 vehicles, for the next three years.

As the preferred supplier, Autoglass will also supply services to Eddie Stobart’s 43 operating centres located across the UK.

The overall value proposition and total cost of ownership model offered by Autoglass were significant factors in securing this account win, it says. Other components included client testimonies, which focused on the consistency of the work offered by Autoglass.

The support hub dedicated to managing the day-to-day requirements of the account was also a key factor in the decision.

In addition to the centralised account support, Eddie Stobart was also impressed by the operational benefits offered by Autoglass, demonstrated through a significant improvement in vehicle downtime.

Jeremy Rochfort, national sales manager at Autoglass, said: “We are delighted to be working with a brand as established and recognisable as Eddie Stobart.

“The company has a vast fleet of vehicles and distribution centres, so it is testament to the excellence of our team that we were chosen as the supplier of choice for vehicle glass repair and replacement.

“We are looking forward to working with the Eddie Stobart team and are excited about delivering on the operational benefits and savings in vehicle downtime.”

Craig Morris, fleet and compliance manager at Eddie Stobart, continued: “Due to our large mixed fleet and the geographical spread of our operating centres, we required a supplier that could offer excellent and reliable service levels to our vehicles up and down the UK.

“We were particularly impressed with the reduction in vehicle downtime offered by Autoglass and the testimonies from existing clients.”
