Chevin Fleet Solutions has appointed Peter Ormsby as its operations director - one of four new recruits at the company this month.

Working primarily from Chevin’s head office in Belper, UK, he will be responsible for overseeing software development and implementation projects, as well as leading a number of key global developments.

Ormsby's experience and knowledge of IT and mobile technologies will support Chevin with the ongoing implementation of its fleet management software, including its enterprise level fleet management system, FleetWave, and smartphone and tablet-based mobile fleet software, FleetWave Mobile.

Ashley Sowerby, managing director of Chevin, said: “Peter has an excellent depth of knowledge in the IT and mobile software industries. This knowledge, combined with his strong leadership skills, will be invaluable to Chevin as it continues its global expansion.”

As part of this global expansion, Chevin has also appointed Marco Bakker as a new project manager in its Belgium office, while in its UK office, Lewis Woolley been employed as junior software support and Salman Khan has taken up the role of apprentice quality assurance engineer.
