A team of Fleet Operations employees are set to embark on the challenge of climbing the UK’s three tallest mountains.

The team of seven will take on the National Three Peaks Challenge – a walking distance of 23 miles with a total ascent of more than 10,000 feet.

The hike must be completed within 24 hours, in hopes to raise more than £3,000 for the UHNM (University Hospitals of North Midlands) charity.

Fleet Operations’ chief executive Ross Jackson (pictured) said: “We’ve been training hard, our spirits are high and we’re raring to go,”

“We’ll be starting at the base of Ben Nevis and the team are set to finish the climb just 24 hours later at bottom of Snowden – having completed Scafell Pike in between.

“UHNM is close to our hears, raising much-need funds to enable University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment and to improve the patient experience at the County Hospital in Stafford and the Royal Stoke University Hospital.”
