Aston Barclay has had a senior appointment reshuffle following Adrian Dunbar's newly-created position as group governance manager.

Dunbar moves to his new role after an eight-year tenure as centre manager of Aston Barclay Chelmsford.

He has been replaced by Richard Farrar who having worked for Cox Automotive for the past 20 years now joins as centre manager of Chelmsford, currently the group’s largest site selling over 40,000 used vehicles each year.

Aston Barclay’s group operations director Martin Potter said: “Governance is an increasingly important part of our business so it’s great to see Adrian’s considerable expertise being put to good use supporting individual auction centres and the group’s product development team.

"I know he will rise to the challenge as we develop and launch new products and services in Q4 and early 2019.

“I would also like to welcome Richard to his new role as auction manager at Chelmsford. With over 20 years’ remarketing experience he has car auctions in his blood and we know he will enjoy his new challenge of managing our longest established auction facility.”

Dunbar will be managing all elements of the group’s compliance commitments including individual auction centres.

He will also be responsible for managing Aston Barclay Assured and will become a key part of the new product development team.

He will use his internal knowledge of the business and his vast remarketing experience to develop the operational processes connected with launching an array of new online and physical products and services over the coming years.
