Mick George has taken delivery of two Daf FAD CF 400 refuse collectors, supplied by Ford & Slater Peterborough, completed with custom safety features.

Mike George has reported that it prides itself on having the “highest quality fleet and leading safety standards”.

As a result, the company claims to continually invest in ensuring their vehicles operate as safely as possible, and has invested in the new refuse collectors.

Custom built for waste collection, both CF trucks are fully FORS compliant and come with a number of innovative Daf safety features, including nearside direct view passenger door window, rear and dash cameras, hard-drive recorders and cycle scanners.

All these features were specified by Mick George when ordering the new vehicles, to ensure these vehicles were the ideal choice for operation in urban areas.

The trucks also feature a unique 8x4 rigid chassis which is designed to perfectly fit with the Farid Hillend Engineering front end loader body.

Both trucks come fitted with an ZF Traxon automatic 12-speed gearbox, powered by the new PACCAR MX11 engine, and benefit from a full maintenance package from Ford & Slater Peterborough, keeping them roadworthy and in excellent condition.

Both Daf FAD CF trucks are now in service completing waste collections around Peterborough.
