Renault has published technical details for the facelifted Trafic and Master, which will be available in September.

Both new models will be available with Euro 6d-Temp engines and host of updates to improve driver comfort, efficiency and connectivity.

The new Master has the most noticeable change, with an all-new front end featuring a larger front grille and extended bonnet.

It also benefits from a new dashboard with an integrated navigation screen.

To improve safety, a digital rear-view mirror is available that utilises a rear-mounted camera. There is also a crosswind assist system, blind spot monitor and optional Autonomous Emergency Braking across the range.

A 2.3-litre diesel engine is used in all models with varied power outputs. The most powerful model develops 180PS and 400Nm. Renault says the new engine is “significantly” more efficient that its predecessor.

Front-wheel-drive versions meet Euro 6d-Temp emissions standards. The most frugal dCi 150 emits from 154g/km and can return up to 48mpg. The more powerful dCi 180 emits 175g/km and achieves 43mpg.

Rear-wheel-drive versions meet the Euro VI-D emissions standard with CO2 ranging from 211-233g/km.

There are six versions of the front-wheel-drive van available and eight versions of the rear-wheel-drive version. Load volumes range from eight to 17 cubic metres.

The fully electric Master ZE will be available with a 33kWh or 57kWh battery, providing up to 60-miles real-world range.

New Renault Trafic

The new Renault Trafic has been updated to include a new 2.0-litre diesel engine, with power outputs of 120PS, 145PS and 170PS.

Full emissions data isn't available yet but the dCi 145 emits 143g/km (WLTP) and returns 52.3mpg.

For the first time, the Trafic will be offered with an EDC automatic gearbox on the 145PS and 170PS engines.

There will also be a low-price 95PS version that emits 165g/km.

Four versions will be offered with load volumes ranging from 5.2-8.6 cubic metres. These will joined by two crew-cab versions and a platform cab.

Alongside some minor styling tweaks, the Trafic also features new full-LED headlamps, a new key and the option of keyless entry.
