Mercedes-Benz Vans has created a Keeping Businesses Moving immersive experience to demonstrate its future strategies to customers.

Its 16 metre, custom-built articulated trailer features three multi-sensory technology experiences.

These include a 360 degree virtual reality experience where visitors sit in the hydraulically powered cab of a Sprinter van, and an augmented reality wall which reveals a new range of electric vehicles and information about the brand’s connectivity solution.

It also features a future cityscape scenario which gives visitors the opportunity to move around a futuristic city space featuring robots, drones and autonomous vehicles in Mercedes-Benz Vans’ vision for the future of mobility.

Steve Bridge, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, said: “We are firm believers in bringing our brand to the people, rather than expecting them to come to us, so this unique mobile trailer truly enables us to share our vision with a wide and varied audience.

“We know that electric vehicles are high on the agenda of our customers, but beyond that we offer new and emerging innovations that could help change the industry forever.

“By using technology to bring these ideas to life, we hope to demystify and simplify topics such as drones and robots, and how AI can aid businesses great and small to ensure even greater effectiveness and efficiencies.”

The trailer will be embarking on a tour around the UK at various events and exhibitions, including the Royal Highlands Show, Edinburgh (from June 20), the Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate (from  July 9), Car Fest North, Cheshire (from July 26) and Car Fest South, Hampshire (from August 23).
