Multi-utility network construction company Energy Assets Utilities is to take on 73 Man 3.5-tonne TGE diesel vans.

The first 33 new vans to be replaced in the company’s commercial fleet of more than 200 vehicles will be based at EAU’s Alva base in Scotland, and will be followed by a further 40 destines for operations in England and Wales.

The investment will support utility network construction at residential and commercial developments across Britain.

Steven Lynch, managing director of EAU (Scotland), commented: “We are committed to investing in technologies that improve the service we provide to customers, whether on- or-off-site.

“These new vehicles are more energy efficient and include on-board systems that will improve both operational effectiveness and the safety of our people, which in turn will support our reliability and quality commitments to our growing customer base.”
