Citroen is launching an LCV version of its electric My Ami two-seater car, targeting organisations carrying out deliveries in urban areas.

My Ami Cargo, which has a payload of up to 140kg and a maximum load capacity of 400 litres, has a zero emissions range of up to 47 miles from a 5.5kWh lithium-ion battery.

The vehicle, which as a passenger car can carry two people and measures just 2.41m long, has had its passenger seat removed and replaced by a seven-part polypropylene module that can hold up to 260 litres and 140kg of cargo and goods.

The remaining 140 litres of space consists of the interior storage already on board.

Citroen says as well as being suitable for use by e-commerce and home food delivery organisations, My Ami Cargo is also a useful solution for other urban operators such as plumbers, electricians, local authorities and other public sector service providers.

My Ami Cargo has not yet been confirmed for the UK, but Citroen has launched a ‘Register Your Interest’ form for the Citroen AMI passenger vehicle to gauge pubic interest levels for potential introduction to the UK market on its website.

In France, customers will be able to order My Ami Cargo from June, with prices starting from 6,490 euros.

Fleets of fewer than 10 vehicles can add their company logo on to their My Ami Cargo when ordering them, while larger fleet customers can have bespoke modifications made.

These include painting the body in specific corporate colours, adding logos and graphics, or wrapping the model to represent the company, if feasible.
