Maxus is partnering with Geotab reseller Levl to include telematics in every new electric vehicle produced by the van manufacturer.

The new Maxus Intelligence Onboard solution will provide data driven insights through the Geotab software platform, including near real-time insights into state of charge, energy used, energy cost, live GPS tracking and charging data.

Mark Barrett, general manager of SAIC Maxus Ireland, said: “Offering Maxus Intelligence Onboard with every Maxus EV provides our customers with access to powerful insights to help improve productivity and safety and that can ultimately help reduce running costs while maximising range.

“Joining with Levl is good news for our customers as we support them in making the transition to EV, equipping them with the latest technologies that will help them to get the most out of their fleet.”

Levl’s partnership with Maxus is currently live in the UK and Ireland with both companies planning to expand this offer to fleets across Europe next year.

Maxus, which was known as LDV until April 2020 when it was rebranded, currently has two fully electric vans: the eDeliver9 and the smaller eDeliver 3.

The eDeliver 9 is available in two size options, offering cargo volumes of 9.7 cubic meters and 11.0 cubic metres.

It has a maximum range of 219 miles and can be specified with one of three battery options. There’s a choice of 55.1kWh, 72kWh and 88.5kWh. A 203PS/350Nm electric motor powers the new eDeliver 9.

The eDeliver 9 is available in a number of variants, including crew cab, chassis and minibus models, while a network of specialist converters can also create a bespoke van to cater for all driver and business needs including mobility, refrigeration and specialist cargo.

The eDeliver 3 offers a range of up to 174 miles and a payload of up to 1,000kg.

Two battery packs are available – a 35kW and 55kWh – with customers able to choose either a short- and long-wheelbase bodystyle.

They offer 5.0 and 6.3 cu m load capacity respectively.
