KEY ROLES 

In this job, you are:

Warehouse and logistics manager

Responsible for implementing and actioning cost-effective logistics and warehousing solutions to maximize output

Responsible for coordinating and managing the warehouse team to meet the service standards and targets

Responsible for vehicle fleet; inc. general maintenance and all processes and documentation 

DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you will:

Uphold culture, values & mission at all times

Lead the bar hire aspect of business inc. management of current bar assets and upkeeping their top condition and arranging delivery/collection of bars

Leading all communications with clients requiring hired bars inc. initial communications via phone/email, quoting for the bar hire services and following up with the client post-job completion

Manage all incoming jobs/requests from all departments in an efficient manner

Attend and contribute to weekly event meetings in order to plan workload for warehouse

Lead daily/weekly meetings with warehouse staff to ensure all staff are aware of their immediate roles and responsibilities

Communicate clear direction of expectations to all warehouse employees & casual workersCompile a weekly unit rota by 14:00 on Thursday of the previous week

Be responsible for cost efficient use of all human resources in the warehouse (includes booking, signing in/out & completing of all unit hours, and sending in a timely fashion to HQ – by every Monday midday)

Work closely with HR to create an induction and training program for Warehouse staff

Induct and train Warehouse staff with support from HR

Responsible for warehouse staff welfare

Manage fleet & all associated matters - inc. insurance, maintenance, branding, damage, and all PCNs incurred

Ensure drivers adhere to Company policy and driver induction process, inc. a clear outline of PCN policy

Be responsible for ensuring that all paperwork/delivery notes/invoices are correctly processed, filed accurately & delivered to Head office by every Monday at 14:00

Prep events, compiling stock and equipment lists accurately and loading vehicles in an efficient and safe manor

Ensure vehicles are loaded compliantly and with the correct products for delivery or events

Manage waste management – ensure all practices are being adhered to by ourselves & our suppliers - green operator & recycles everything it can

Develop best-in-class solutions to the unique logistical challenges faced

JOINT SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you will:

Produce & complete daily/weekly to-do lists with Warehouse team

Complete specific daily checklists/walk around

Keep all administrative tasks up to date

Respond quickly & effectively to all comm’s throughout

Designated fleet driver performing general transportation around UK and Europe, loading and unloading

Joint responsibility for the warehouse general standards of cleanliness

Receiving incoming deliveries, checking against delivery notes and actioning delivery discrepancies

Report any incident or accidents to your Line Manager in accordance with Company policy

Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy and regular vehicle checks are carried out as necessary

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure excellent customer service & quality control in all aspects of role

Research, propose & implement improved ways of working throughout your department

Identify your own personal development/training requirements in order to maximize effectiveness in this role

Identify & action/share opportunities for new business generation & development

Actively discuss best practices with colleagues where necessary

Ensure all work is both H&S & CSR compliant

REMUNERATION

The current salary offered for this role is £32,000.

Overtime when working on events/projects on weekday evenings or weekends is paid for via half & full lieu days (paid out to the equivalent value monthly if these are not taken due to work commitments).

Various benefits are also offered with this role including health care.

HOURS OF WORK / HOLIDAY

Minimum 5 days per week, 09:30 - 18:00.

In line with the nature of the hospitality & events industry, you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties without extra remuneration.

Holiday – 20 days per calendar year pro rata, with no roll over & inc. compulsory days at Christmas (increased to 25 days after the first year of full employment)
