Global Logistics Manager

I'm looking for a senior MP&L Leader from the automotive industry, who can also roll their sleeves up and get hands on, to help bring modern working practices to the logistics function of this global manufacturer.

You'll initially lead in a hands-on capacity in one of the UK problem plants, in Saint Neots, but you will quickly move into a global role with responsibilities across factories and engineering centres in the US, Europe and Asia. With sites at differing levels of development, you will work to prioritise actions and implement an improvement plan and the rollout of a blueprint for global logistics operations.

You're an experienced Logistics Manager with expertise across the whole function incorporating scheduling, production planning, materials management and shipping. You're an MRP expert, both as a system user but also the development and execution of MRP implementation. You understand complex manufacturing processes and how important a slick logistics operation is in contributing to world class manufacturing.

An inspirational leader, you naturally get buy-in from your people and you create a culture of teamwork that ensures all team members are driven to deliver. You are, however, comfortable making difficult decisions if team members aren't contributing as required.

The successful candidate will be paid approximately £80-90k plus car, bonus and benefits. Your contractual location will be Saint Neots but you can be based anywhere, as long as you're comfortable travelling to Cambridgeshire as the job requires - when you progress into the global role you will split your time between home, Saint Neots and travelling
