McDiarmid Whitmore are currently working on behalf of leading facilities management contractor that are seeking a Logistics Manager for a hospital in Cheshire. The Manager will be responsible for the management of the day to day services including logistics and portering within the hospital and a number of local community sites covering both operational and personnel training requirements to meet and exceed performance targets. You will be required to motivate staff, ensure they are trained to the correct standards and ensure that they meet and exceed performance targets. You will be required to monitor and control costs associated with the department’s service. The ideal candidate will have: • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Safety • Over three years’ management experience, preferably in a healthcare environment • Experience of client liaison and negotiation • Good levels of numeracy with an ability to understand and construct budgets This is an ideal role for an ambitious Manager looking to progress their career within the facilities management sector as opportunities will occur to diversify and move in to a more overarching managerial position
