Our client a leader in airposrt supplies consilidation are looking or an experinced logist manager to maximize operational performance by providing proactive and highly visible leadership of an assigned shift. Workign on the night shift as the sole manager on site. Working in collaboration with other departments to achieve customer KPI's and SLA's and to be a champion of the company values.

Role - Logistics Manager
Location- West Drayton - UB7
Shifts - Nights
Contract - Permanaent directly with client
Hours - Mon - Fri 10am - 6pm
Salary - £40,000 per annumn plus additional £125 monthly premium

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Resource and Asset Management

➢ Operational budget control and payroll accuracy.
➢ Through active planning and leadership maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization.
➢ Ensure all company assets within area of responsibility are accounted for and all loss or damage (including HHT and facility loss / damage) is investigated and resolved using the RCF / ICA process as required.

People Management

➢ To be a role model who actively promotes and lives the company values.
➢ Training, mentoring and coaching of team including the achievement of personal development plans.
➢ Achievement of own personal development objectives as defined by the Head of Operations including "stretch" tasks within own PDP.
➢ Active promotion of company employee recognition initiatives and to actively lead employee engagement.
➢ Manager disciplinary and grievances (complaints) in line with HR policy.
➢ Manage performance and attendance issues in line with HR policy.

Reporting and Communication

➢ Pro active communication and relationship building at all levels within the organization.
➢ To produce reports and metrics for the Head of Operations and to participate in management reviews.

Continuous Improvement of Standards

➢ Use AMIS system to work predictively to deliver all company KPI's including DAP, returns and IBT's.
➢ Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction.
➢ Accountable for ensuring high standards of safety and security are upheld on assigned shift and ensure corrective actions are put into place if they are not. Encourage pro active reporting of hazards.
➢ Conduct incident investigations using the AMIS incident tracker.
➢ Resolve operational and other issues identified using the RCF / ICA process.
➢ Promote and ensure compliance with all company policy's, processes and procedures.
➢ Ensure all areas of the HCC warehouse are maintained to the highest standard.
➢ Identify opportunities to innovate and to be involved in company projects as directed by the Head of Operations.
➢ To be actively involved in company sustainability projects.
➢ Other tasks in line with the scope of the position and within reasonable capability.

External relationships

➢ Heathrow Airport Limited.
➢ Retail Business Partners.
➢ Contractors and Service Providers.
➢ Government Enforcement agencies including the Civil Aviation Authority.
➢ External auditors including BSI and NSF.

Internal relationships

➢ HCC Head of Operations.
➢ Head of Customer Experience.

➢ Transport Manager.

Essential skill sets to possess in order to be able to apply for the position. Evidence of competence will be required during the selection process.

* 3 years management experience.
* Strong team leadership, influencing and communication skills.
* Budget control.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Aviation security Level 2 (or the ability to pass the next available
* Good knowledge of AMIS system.
* Computer literate for word, excel, power point.
* Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
* Problem solving and process improvement skills.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
* Evidence of training and / or development of team members.

Desirable skill sets

* NXCT.
* Investigation skills.
* Project management skill
* RCF / ICA knowledge.
