Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading Packaging are Manufacturing Company based within the Halifax area currently seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join their expanding and successful team.
The client offer specialist services in Packaging, Distribution and Manufacturing and are currently working out of a site covering 37,000 m2 with a turnover in the excess of £50m. Due to continued growth and development the client are looking for an experienced Transport Manager (CPC Qualified) to join their team.
Transport Manager Position Overview
Joining a close knit office team you will be responsible for managing all Transport Planning, Driver & Fleet compliance, and working closely with senior management of the business to align the manufacturing, packaging and distribution operations to operation as efficiently and is cost effective as possible.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent planning experience on a UK wide coverage as well as experience in managing and dealing with 3rd party and sub-contracting logistics firms.
Transport Manager Position Requirements
Excellent Transport Planning Experience - Essential
Proven experience in Transport Supervision/Management
Managers CPC Qualified - Essential
Experience dealing with sub-contractors - Highly Desirable
Experience in managing drivers & drivers hrs etc.
Experience in managing transport & fleet compliance
Experience using Optifleet management tool - Highly DesirableTransport Manager Position Remuneration
Monday - Friday Position
Salary £30 - 40k DOE
