Page Personnel Logistics are currently looking to recruit a Transport Manager for our client in Southampton.

Our client are a global leader within the hazardous chemicals sector.
Description
In the role of Transport Manager you will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of legal compliance to meet requirements of Operators license, including vehicle maintenance and driver controls to meet statutory requirements
Responsible for the achievement of branch safety targets, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Responsible for ensuring that drivers are trained and competent to undertake the requirements of the role
Manage effective people processes including recruitment, training, disciplinary, grievances and escalate serious incidents to RTM/ATM. Undertakes disciplinary action to First written warning level.
Reviews driver performance annually, establishes performance objectives and development needs. Follow up with training plans
Identifies under-performing drivers and implements Performance Improvement Plans where necessary.
Ensures effective local communication with driver teams and provides monthly business and employee briefings.
Investigate delivery failures and brought backs with the driver and implement corrective actions involving appropriate parties.
Complete thorough daily driver de-brief including brought backs, vehicle & operational issues encountered
Inputting worked hours into SAP and issuing planned working shifts to DPC for the following week.
Assisting in the allocation & confirmation of delivery notes where necessary.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Transport Manager. As you will have O'licence responsibilities you will be required to have a CPC. Any candidates with ADR license or NEBOSH are highly encouraged to apply.
