Electric Citroen Saxo planned

AN electric version of the new Citroen Saxo will go on sale in France within the next 12 months - and Citroen UK is considering requests from fleets, particularly local authorities, to sell the cars in Britain.

A yearûlong trial of electric Citroen AX cars has now concluded in the French seaside town of La Rochelle and Citroen was surprised at how problemû free the trial was. If Citroen UK believes the cars have a future in Britain then a Citroen Saxo Electronique could be on sale here in 18 months. A price premium of £2,000 over petrol cars can be expected.
