AVIS has slashed its 'summer special' car hire rates by £20 for a week's hire with prices now starting at £139.50 for a supermini such as a Corsa 1.2 LS.

Customers can also choose to return the car to a different Avis location for just £5 extra per rental. The price cuts will run until October 31 but the one-way ticket plan will go on.
