Lease Plan takes on Kerry fleet

SURREY-based Kerry Foods has outsourced all aspects of its 100-strong fleet to Lease Plan. The deal includes accident management, roadside recovery, fuel cards and even the management of the mobile phones. Kerry Foods - makers of Wall's and Mattessons products - previously leased from several companies.

The company invited three leasing companies to tender for the business. Kerry's personnel director John Kilgannon said: 'We were particularly impressed with Lease Plan's open approach to vehicle leasing. Open Calculation is an excellent solution which allows us to know exactly how much our vehicles cost to run and we know that if there are any savings, we will get that money back. We also felt that outsourcing our fleet management was the most cost-effective solution, leaving our staff free to concentrate on our core business.'
