VAUXHALL is aiming to make its mark on August sales with the launch of new limited edition vehicles, including spiced up Vectra and Corsa models. With the aim of giving the 143 mph Vectra SRi V6 a sports car style facelift, the Vectra Sport V6 has been unveiled costing £16,650 for hatchback and saloon models and £17,400 for the estate - the same price as the 2.0i SRi.

Featuring air conditioning and available in four colours, Vauxhall is hoping to match the success of previous limited editions like the SuperTouring V6 and SuperTouring 200 with the 500 Sport V6s that are to be produced.

The Vectra Arctic 1.6 16v includes ABS, 15-inch alloy wheels, tilt steering, SRi sports seats, three rear head rests, three-point centre seat belt and metallic paint, and costs £13,865. The punchier 1.8 16v (115PS) version costs £14,300. An estate model, the Tourer, will also be available.

The Astra 1.6 Arctic features body colour bumpers and door mirrors, front fog lights, CDX-style velour trim with rear armrest, rear head restraints, driver's seat height adjuster, special wheel trims, central locking, tinted glass and a rev counter, and is priced at £11,495. Also unveiled will be a new Corsa Sting 12v, claiming 46.3mpg and featuring a 12-valve 55PS engine and a 93mph top speed, for the retail price of £8,395.
