NCR strikes 40-a-day supply deal

NATIONAL Car Rental will supply Scottish Hydro Electric with around 40 vehicles a day after securing preferred supplier status. The agreement, through Scottish Hydro-Electric's travel contract with Carlson Wagonlit, will see vehicles such as Ford Fiestas and Vauxhall Vectras hired to company sites throughout Scotland and England to transport engineers, technicians and consultants on business.

As part of the agreement, Scottish Hydro Electric will also use National Car Rental's collection and delivery service at a number of UK airports and will also use the company for overseas car rental requirements. National Car Rental has been supplying cars to Scottish Hydro-Electric for more than a year, but the new contract follows the appointment of Carlson Wagonlit as the utility's contracted travel agent.
