Kwik-Fit launches specialist tyre replacement service

KWIK-Fit has launched a new service called Tyresource to satisfy a replacement tyre market for high performance and off-road vehicles that has exploded in value by 30% to £400 million during the past five years. Tyresource will enable Kwik-Fit centres and Kwik-Fit mobile vans to access more than 700 types of specialist, large diameter tyres for high performance and 4x4 vehicles with next-day delivery.

Computer software allows Kwik-Fit Fleet to electronically search through stock worth £100 million in seconds to find the right tyre. Kwik-Fit centres have, where necessary, been upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment capable of handling ultra-low tyres fitted to alloy wheels up to 20 inches in diameter. Staff will be on-hand to operate Tyresource from 9am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings.
