DAILY rental firm Arnold Clark has taken delivery of the first of 100 dual-fuel Vauxhalls set to join its fleet. The Scottish firm has received £100,000 support from the Energy Saving Trust's Powershift programme to cover 75% of the additional cost of acquiring cars converted to run on liquefied petroleum gas.

Arnold Clark, company chairman, said: 'Our new cars allow customers to get behind the wheel of a clean fuel car and experience its performance. Also, with petrol costing more than 80p per litre in some areas of Scotland, LPG cars allow us to offer our customers a much cheaper alternative which can cost as little as 36ppl.'
