CALLEVA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Powermarque, is building business with brokers through Calleva On-line, an internet-based quotation system for use by its network of brokers in a bid to boost sales to fleets. The firm leases 9,500 vehicles via a network of 150 brokers.

Calleva On-line allows brokers to provide up-to-date quotes on all Calleva's financial products including contract hire, finance lease, lease purchase, personal contract hire and hire purchase directly at the marketplace. The system also enables brokers to manage customer contact details, make credit proposals online and print contracts and outstanding orders.

Managing director James Daly said: 'By providing brokers with a constantly updated online system that features new financial data, residual values and competitive rates, we have successfully increased our customer base and secured our existing customers' loyalty. As a result, we are now getting about 200 new corporate business orders a week since Calleva On-line was launched in January, 2001.'

Of all Calleva's 150 brokers, 125 are using Calleva On-line and the firm plans to convert all their brokers to use the new system. The operation aims to sign up 450 dealerships using the Calleva On-line quotation system from April 2001 onwards.
