Audi Avant and Skoda estate advances

##CAPsml--left####Martin Ward--right##MOST Audi dealers are reporting buoyant times with used cars, although profits are lower than they would expect. But at least things are moving and retail business is out there. There is no pattern as to what is most desirable but an A4 Avant, particularly the diesel, at virtually any age and any mileage does not last long on the forecourt.

Petrol A4s are a bit of a struggle and unlike the Avant they need sensible mileage and a good spec, with plenty of toys. The TT Coupe, although it has only been on the UK's roads for 18 months, is attracting plenty of interest as a used car.

Skoda dealers are also doing well with some of their used cars. Anything with a diesel engine is sought after with the Octavia Estate being the one in most demand. Some prices paid recently by the network have by far exceeded expectations.
