VOLKSWAGEN has cut on-the-road prices for certain Golf models. The retail price of the Golf E falls by £720 and the cost of the Golf S has been cut by £625.

This means the Golf E 1.4 75 bhp three-door now costs £9,995 while Golf S models start from £10,995 for the S 1.4 75 bhp three-door.

In addition, Volkswagen Fleet Services has introduced increased specification and enhanced discounts for key models offered through contract hire companies as part of a new scheme.

The 'Advance With Volkswagen' campaign will run with 75 leasing companies and includes equipment enhancements such as a boot-mounted CD-autochanger in the S, ST and SE models of the Bora and metallic paint.

The Sharan gains a CD autochanger and two Game Boy Advance hand-held consoles with Super Mario games.

Vince Kinner, head of Volkswagen Fleet, said: 'We were looking to do something which would not only appeal to fleet managers, but also to drivers.'
