MANUFACTURING giant Akzo Nobel Decorative will be painting its fleet various shades of Nissan following a two-year deal.

Nissan will supply cars to the 550-strong fleet as part of a three badge deal. Akzo Nobel Decorative, which produces Crown, Sandtex and Sadolin paints, previously ran Primeras, Almeras and Maxima QXs from its base in Darwen, Lancashire, on a three-year replacement cycle.

Its commercial buyer, Sue Fielding, said: 'We were very impressed with the quality, performance, specification and style of the Primera and, in addition, the commercial terms were very competitive.' Nissan fleet sales director David Murfitt added: 'I'm delighted that Akzo Nobel has chosen to extend its relationship with Nissan.

'I'm confident that Primera, as well as Almera, will prove to be a very popular choice among Akzo Nobel company car drivers.'
