THE Honda Civic is the UK's favourite British-built medium-sized car, according to latest figures.

The Swindon-built Civic has sold 32,619 units for the first 10 months of the year, compared with 20,110 for the Sunderland-built Nissan Almera, 14,650 for the Longbridge-built Rover 45 and MG ZS, 13,574 for Toyota Corolla models built in Derbyshire and 6,961 units for Vauxhall Astras built at the company's Ellesmere Port plant. The best-selling lower-medium sector car is the Ford Focus, built outside the UK.
