JAGUAR and British Car Auctions have combined in a themed sale that saw 161 cars sold with a turnover of nearly £4 million.

The sale took place at Tamworth Snowdome and was the first of its type for three years. It attracted more than 120 dealers, with live images of the cars at BCA's Birmingham centre beamed live to the auditorium.

The sale featured the whole Jaguar model line-up, ranging from 1999 to 2002-registered, with the majority under 20,000 miles. BCA claims the sale recorded one of the highest ever average unit values for a manufacturer in the UK at £22,888, and achieved an average of 103.8% of Cap clean.

John Simmonds, Jaguar Cars' used car sales and marketing manager, said: 'We have combined for a hugely successful event and were delighted to see so many of our dealer network attending this special event and bidding so strongly and confidently.'
