Commercial Auction View highlights demand

Commercial Auction View contains catalogue listings – and often a digital image – of every commercial vehicle BCA has consigned for sale. A sophisticated search engine helps users locate the vehicle that interests them by a range of criteria that includes make, model, fuel and body type.

There is even a ‘word search’ option for the user to enter their own criteria such as ‘tail-lift’ or ‘side loading’. BCA has been using online tracking technology to show how users search for vehicles and what models they favour. Well over 100,000 individual user sessions have been logged and analysed.

Unsurprisingly, light commercials attracted the most user sessions with potential buyers usually searching by make/model or generic type such as ‘pick-up’ or ‘mini-bus’.

Notably many LCV buyers also had an interest in the HGV and caravan sections, with the latter actually attracting the second largest number of users.
