New MD for Citroen UK

CITROEN UK has announced that Xavier Duchemin will take over as managing director from September 1.

Duchemin has been with Citroen for 14 years, holding a series of positions in sales, marketing, replacement parts and human resources in the Paris head office and other European countries.

His most recent promotion, in January 2004, was to managing director for Citroen Austria, where he oversaw sales growth to give the company a record market share. Duchemin replaces Alain Favey, who joined Citroen UK in May 2000 and is leaving to become managing director of Citroen Italy.
