A COMPANY which delivers bread and pastry products across the UK will have regular tyre checks carried out on its vehicles following a deal signed with ATS Euromaster.
Roberts Bakery runs a 90-strong fleet including car-derived vans and hopes the move will improve the fleet’s fuel economy and support its driver responsibilities.
Transport manager Nick Crank said part of the deal will include fortnightly checks carried out on its tyres.
He added: ‘Tyres have a critical impact on a vehicle’s fuel economy, and we are hoping that by working with ATS Euromaster to manage our tyres more effectively we will be able to make valuable savings to our fuel bill.’
