Digital TV rumour sparks crime spree

Autoglass’ Cardiff branch had one of its busiest weekends on record this month, as over 100 motorists in the city became victims of a bizarre crime spree.

False reports claiming a chip in Ford car stereos could pick up free digital TV led to a spate of thefts from vehicles in the city. As a result, the Autoglass branch was called upon to complete a 120 side glass replacements in two days – more than double their usual number of jobs. A further 70 side glass replacements completed by the team through the week were also blamed on the mythical report.
